After three years of dedicated service, Ross Trotter stood down as a board member at the end of last year when his term expired. Ross' experience and expertise as a user and assessor of lipspeakers and speech to text reporters has been invaluable as we have sought to support the development of National Occupational Standards in both those disciplines and establish practice assessments for speech to text reporters.
Thanking Ross for his dedicated service, NRCPD Chair, Huw Vaughan Thomas, said, "Ross made a considerable contribution to the board over three years. His considered, practical approach and detailed knowledge of the sector have been invaluable to the board. NRCPD will continue to benefit from Ross' knowledge and skill set as a Standards Advisor and we look forward to that."
An open recruitment process conducted in Autumn 2012 sees Heather Fisken appointed to the vacancy on the board. Commenting on Heather's appointment Huw Vaughan Thomas said. "We are delighted that Heather will be joining us. Her background and experience will be of considerable benefit to the Board in developing NRCPD and we look forward to working with her."
