How do I renew my registration?

We will send you a reminder email to let you know your registration is about to expire. You can renew your registration up to four weeks before it expires.

If your registration has expired you will be notified when you log in to your account.

Renewing is simple. Sign In to your account and check all the details we hold are still correct.

Changes to registration requirements: Professional Indemnity Insurance and Enhanced Disclosure Checks

All NRCPD regulated professionals must have appropriate insurance for all the work they carry out. They must also have an enhanced disclosure certificate which is less than three years old before they apply.From 1 August 2013 NRCPD does not need to see your insurance schedule or enhanced disclosure certificate. During the application process you will be asked to legally declare that you have valid professional indemnity insurance and an up to date enhanced disclosure check. You should have these documents available to show employers/users if requested to do so.


Registered Communication Professionals

You should complete the Revalidation page first. Click Edit to open your revalidation account and 'add' a structured or unstructured activity to allow you to enter the CPD activities you have undertaken in the past year. Once you have entered the required number of CPD hours, go to the Registration Status page to start the renewal process. Tick the Renew box and then press the Renew button. This will take you into the Applications page where you should choose 'Edit' to view your application form. You will see your qualification already recorded.

As part of your renewal application you will be asked to complete a Fit and Proper Persons Declaration (FPPD). If you answer "yes" to any of the questions in the FPPD, we will ask you to provide the evidence outlined in the explanatory notes.

Once you've completed and saved your application form, complete and save the Declaration Section which includes confirming that you have valid professional indemnity insurance and an up to date enhanced disclosure check. Finally click the 'Submit Application' button.


Trainee Communication Professionals

You should go to the Registration Status page to start the renewal process. Tick the Renew box and then press the Renew button. This will take you into the Applications page where you should choose 'Edit' to view your application form.

After submitting your application (all renewals)

We will send email confirmation of receiving your application and request from you any necessary supporting information We offer a fee discount to anyone registering in more than one category at the same time.

If your application is approved you will be sent an official confirmation letter and ID card. We will invoice you directly for your registration fee. Non payment will result in the removal of your register entry.
