Lady Winifred Tumim
Added on 06 November 2009
With great sadness we have learned that our Chair, Lady Winifred Tumim, has died.
Winifred was a pivotal figure of many debates in the national Deaf organisations she worked with. She took the chair role in the newly-formed NRCPD on January 5 this year and had already made her mark.
Craig Crowley Chief Exec at Action Deafness and fellow NRCPD Board Member said, "I was greatly saddened to receive the news of Winifred’s sudden passing this week. NRCPD is now a poorer place without her energy and wisdom. I will miss her robust debating style and innate sense of fun."
Our thoughts are with her family at this sad time.
