NRCPD seeks board members

This is an exciting opportunity for individuals with a passion for equality to make a real difference.

We have a vacancy on the board that oversees the regulation of communication professionals who work with deaf and deafblind people in the UK. The board oversees the policy and strategy of the regulatory function that safeguards the wellbeing and interests of people who rely on those professionals.


The Person

Applicants will bring either experience in a regulatory role, or lay interest in the field and enjoy the challenge of strategic thinking.

Your integrity, independence, interests in equality and access, enthusiasm, and firm resolve will guide and inform your contributions to the board's work in delivering its strategy to improve credibility, accessibility and professional standards.

You will be committed to the principles of accountability and continuing professional development and work to strengthen the profile and status of NRCPD with those who rely on its services, stakeholders, and in the wider environment.

We value diverse experience and backgrounds. We welcome applications from all sections of the community.


The Commitment

This is a voluntary role commencing in the next six months. Members serve a term of three years and may be invited to serve a second term.

Reasonable expenses are paid and a small honorarium is available to cover additional activities, if required.
