We protect the public by setting standards our Registrants and regulated Trainees have to meet. As well as the right training, Registrants and regulated Trainees have to abide by our Code of Conduct.
Our Code of Conduct says a Registrant or regulated Trainee must have up-to-date knowledge of practice theory and its application. To stay on a Register a Registrant must continue their professional development.
We develop our standards with the help of Professional Standards Advisers. They are experts in their field or the training, assessment, use and employment of communication and language professionals.
