Nature of Complaint Complainant raised concerns around the Registrants unprofessional behaviour. Allegations related to Registrants unwillingness to assist the Complainant with BSL translation during a training event. The Complainants understanding was that the organiser of the event had outlined the needs of all participants to the Booking Agency, and that this had been relayed to the Registrant.
Summary Investigation conducted into potential breach of Section 1.1 and 6.1 of NRCPD's Code of Conduct.
Outcome Case Examiners decided based on the evidence provided, that there was not a realistic prospect of finding an impairment of fitness to practise, and that it was not in the public interest to refer the case to a Complaints Committee.

In their summary, the Case Examiners outlined that it appeared that the situation had been brought about by the fact that the Booking Agency and the interpreter were not made aware that more than one person at the event required an interpreter.
