Nature of Complaint

Complainant raised concerns about the conduct and professional skills of the registrant interpreting at two separate medical related assignments in November 2020 and on 5th May 2021. Allegations include that the registrant did not have the sufficient skills for the assignments, that limited information was relayed to the complainant, and that the registrant did not display their NRCPD badge. The Complainant was left feeling upset and lacked confidence in the communication support provided.


Investigation conducted into potential breach of Section 3.1, 3.2, 3.3, 4.1 of NRCPD's Code of Conduct.


Case Examiners decided based on the evidence provided, that there was not a realistic prospect of finding an impairment of fitness to practice, and that it was not in the public interest to refer the case to a Complaints Committee. The Case Examiners found there was insufficient evidence to support the complaint.
