Nature of Complaint

Complainant raised concerns around Registrants conduct during a Court Hearing. It was alleged that the Registrant inappropriately addressed the court when interrupting to clarify information, and the Registrant throw their arms in the air, sighed, and rolled their eyes when they misheard something. When asked by the Deaf client when they qualified as an RSLI, the Registrant responded with false information. The Deaf client expressed concerns and stated they did not want to proceed with their evidence due to the skill set of the interpreters.


Investigation conducted into potential breach of Section 3.1, 3.2, 3.3, 4.1, 6/1 & 7.4 of NRCPD's Code of Conduct.


Case Examiners decided based on the evidence provided, that there was not a realistic prospect of finding an impairment of fitness to practice, and that it was not in the public interest to refer the case to a Complaints Committee.
