Nature of Complaint

Complainant raised concerns around unprofessional conduct during a Zoom meeting. Allegations include Registrant being unable to use the technology which caused concern and difficulty with the meeting, unprofessional conduct, lack of respect to service users, and undermines the confidence in the profession.

Summary

Investigation conducted into potential breach of Section 1.1, 3.1, 3.3, 4.1 and 6.1 of NRCPD's Code of Conduct.

Outcome

Case Examiners decided based on the evidence provided, that there was a realistic prospect of finding an impairment of fitness to practice, but that it was not in the public interest to refer the case to a Complaints Committee.

The Case Examiners decided there was breach of Section 1.1, 3.1, 3.3 and 4.1 of the Code of Conduct and recommended the Registrant undertake professional supervision. They required the Registrant to undertake formal training on Zoom and MS Teams within 6 months and provide evidence of the completion of the training to NRCPD within that period.
