01 October 2015
Dear colleague
This month we have been finalising the new Code of Conduct and complaints process, for publication, including working with a translator. We will have more news about them soon.
We have also been preparing for the practitioner's forum, which is meeting in London in early October. We look forward to discussing, amongst other things, our plans for statutory regulation and routes to registration.
If you have questions about anything in this newsletter, please don't hesitate to contact us. You can also follow us on Twitter and like our Facebook page.
Kind regards
Kate Price
Registration Service Manager
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------NRCPD Registrants can now reclaim tax from HM Revenue and Customs on their annual registration fees. The approved organisation is 'Signature trading name of - Communication with Deaf People, The Council for the Advancement of (CACDP)'.
The Scottish Government wants to know what you think of its video relay service.
The contactScotland pilot has been successfully running for over six months. As a result, the Scottish Government will put in place a permanent service from March 2016, when the pilot ends.
To make sure the service is well designed, they want feedback from individuals and organisations that have experience of the service. You can respond to the survey now. It will also be appreciated if you pass the link on.
