New Deafblind Studies Course Announced

Signature has been involved, along with 5 other leading charities, in the development of a part-time programme of studies leading to the Certificate and Diploma in Deafblind Studies.

The two year programme will be delivered at the well situated Deaf Cultural Centre in Birmingham and is credit rated by the Open University. It covers both congenital and acquired deafblindness across the age range.

Year one of the programme will build in-depth foundational knowledge of: Deafblindness, Communication, Movement, Mobility and Orientation; and Public Policy. Year two will extend this, focusing on assessment, service development and service delivery.
